River Tyne Kayak Tour

Make this summer one to remember with an exhilarating tour of the Tyne by kayak.

As part of NE1’s Summer in the City, we’ve joined forces with water sports experts CBK Adventures to bring thrill-seekers a series of free kayak taster tours.

You’ll paddle the Tyne, enjoy a guided talk featuring fascinating facts about the river and its bridges and see the city from a whole different angle. Don’t miss out on this exciting, unique opportunity!

The tours are free, but tickets must be reserved.

Tours take place at 11:30am, 12:15pm, 1pm and 1:45pm.

Tour breakdown:

Welcome, health & safety briefing, changing into kayaking gear and getting on to your kayak (30 minutes)
Tour and guided talk with routes dependent on tidal conditions and river levels (30 minutes)
Returning to the marina and getting changed (30 minutes)
